October 5, 2002 Meeting

 

Call to Order: 7:30 pm By: President Scott Sheldon

 

Secretary’s report:  No Meeting in September.  No minutes

Old Business:

Guest Speaker: Tom Smith, Dealer at Colorado Boat Center is having an Open house, Dec. 6 – 7, 3850 SE Frontage Rd. Loveland.

2002 final standings: Top 12 anglers are invited to fish in Norton, Ks. this coming spring, date TBA by Steering committee.

 

Conservation Update: Anglers 4 Horsetooth, update by VP Bill Wilson.  He advised that there have been ridges put in some of the coves and more will be put in later.  He also advised that help will be sought soon, for activities such as weed seeding, placement of rocks and other structures.  He stated that as soon as an area was established for storing structure we may be able to start bringing in trees, concrete, manmade objects, and other supplies.  Please see the news page on the website for updates.  Ben Lind stated that he might be able to get a friend to loan or help with heavy equipment.  Bernie Stein will be contacted to advise other clubs of the situation.

 

Casting Kids:  Jeff Lindgren has stepped down as Youth Director, if you are interested please let the E-board know.

 

Full Moon Open:  VP Bill Wilson would like to get started early on next years Full Moon Open.  He asked for a committee to be started.

New Business

 

Officer Election 2003:  Nominations and Voting in November.  Bring your nominations to the next meeting in November.

 

Website:  Frank has Updated the Website and is asking for pictures to put together a program to be shown possibly in December.  He would also like to ask that we get pictures of the ongoing renovations at Horsetooth and possibly purchase a video camera for keeping video updates.  He also asked for the club to buy disposable cameras for each boat but will wait to bring up closer to next years fishing season.

Steering Committee: Will set 2003 Schedule, suggestion was made to have the weekend tournaments closer.

Federation News:  Doug Johns advised us that when we sign up a new member for 50.00 the club receives 6.00.

The 2003 state qualifier will be held at Truman Res. The last week in April.

 

In 2004 there is a possibility of having another route to the BASS Classic.  You will be able to pay a fee of 300.00 to fish 3 lakes.  More Info still to come.

 

End of the Year Raffle:  Motion to pay 2 people 125.00 and the tickets have to be present to win, seconded.

Motion Passed.

 

Raffle will be Paid to two individuals, and the tickets must be present to win
