SHELDON LAKE PROJECT:

Link Mueller- Project Manager

Presented overview of project.

Lake Bottom is to be lowered so lake will be able to hold 20 acre feet of overflow.  Bank improvements will include rip rap, cattails, and gravel.  The project encountered about 30 inches of muck before getting to the clay bottom.  With 3 feet of clay bottom they will be able to create some undulation to the bottom.  There is also a possibility of having some storage for Christmas trees, and concrete blocks for near future use.

Eric Bergersen:  There is a limit on what type of structure can be used.  There will be some small earthen ridges built and there will be some brush piles placed along the inside edge of some of the banks.  Link stated that there will be a 2 week window in early to mid-March to do the work.

ANGLERS FOR HORSETOOTH:

Before we can do anything Ken Kameier needs to get permit from ACOE and permission from City of Ft. Collins.  The Bureau of Reclamation needs paperwork from City of Ft. Collins.  Once that is received it will take about 3 weeks to process the paperwork.  Eric B talked to the Lady that does the weed spraying and discussed with her which weeds we would like left alone.  She said she would not spray those weeds.  There was also some discussion about some passed issues.

Pete Marshall: Discussed the 2003 tournament schedule is on the website.  Permits are all done but we are still waiting for Pueblo permits.  Pete needs everyone’s boat insurance and everyone needs to get here membership application done and paid for.
