President Ben Lind called the meeting to order at 7:10pm with 18 members and no guests.

Secretary’s report: Secretary George McCambridge read the minutes from the November meeting. There were no additions or changes. A motion was made and seconded to accept the secretary’s report, motion passed.

Treasurer Brett Vogel reported that the club has 595.78 in its general account and 1574.00 in the FMO account for a total of 2169.78. A motion was made and seconded to accept the treasures report, motion passed.

Tournament directors report: nothing to report.

Conservation director Eric Bergersen, attended a recent user group meeting concerning Horsetooth reservoir. He reported many proposals to improve recreation at Horsetooth, including a new swim beach on the east side, floating campsites which is basically a platform, with an outhouse, an archery range, and possibly a new meeting hall open for public use. Eric also reported that a dock at Lone tree is a possible go. Floating dock structures may be purchased in 8 x 16 sections, and will be maintained by the DOW.

The club thanked and applauded the 05,06 officers and encouraged the new ones.

FMO Director Bill Wilson reported that Ron Mayer will help with sponsorship for the 07 Full Moon Open.

Cast: nothing to report.

Youth director Mike Hubbard reported that the Cast event at Bass Pro was a success.

Kyle Gerdner  scored 140 points to move on the divisionals in Gadsden Alabama. A proposal was made to donate $100 to Kyle’s family to help with expenses. A motion was made and seconded, and passed with a unanimous vote. Mike will send the check.

Mike also reported that a Junior Bass Masters club is a possibility, with Frank Villa and Robert Ross bringing 4-6 kids as potential members. Much discussion followed concerning CBC club participation. Club support would be critical in the kids’ success. Pres. Ben Lind signed the necessary paper work to submit to BASS to start Jr. Bassmasters.

Website: Frank Villa reported that a communications section would be added, to place news and advertisements on, that members could pass on to the rest of the club.

New Business:

The 2007 CBC tournament schedule ratification was opened by Ben Lind much discussion followed. A motion was made and seconded to accept the schedule it passed with 1 opposing vote.

A proposal was made to the club in opposition of out of state weigh-in  tournaments. Much discussion followed. A motion was made and seconded to not have any weigh-in tournaments. The motion passed with 8 for, and 4 against. There will be no weigh in tournaments, with exception to the Full Moon Open.

Craig McMillin proposed a conservation effort to support free life jackets at Boyd, Carter, and Horsetooth lakes for kids. The proposal generated much positive discussion, and was tabled until the Jan. meeting.

The city of Greeley is hosting a fishing seminar in May 07, and would like the support of CBC. A Casting event was suggested, as well as technique seminars. Bringing boats was also suggested as they bring attention to such events. Lunch will be provided.

The city of Greeley is considering a habitat project at the Poudre River Lakes. They would like input as well as volunteers to help with structure and habitat.
