Business meeting minutes

President Mike Hubbard called meeting to order at 7:02 pm

There were 21 members and no guests present.

New member Brad Templeman was voted into the club.

Secretary - Minutes from January meeting were read by Perry Flot. There was a motion and second to accept minutes as read. Motion passed.

Treasurers report – Jr. Club - $354.23  FMO – $2464.92  General fund - $1647.73

TD - Robert Ross stated that he has started submitting permit requests for this coming season

Conservation -  Eric Bergeson reported on the meeting that he had attended for the program of Zebra muscle inspections at Horsetooth, Carter and Flatiron Reservoirs. Clean, Drain and Dry is the theory behind the program. The program has an expected budget around $385,000 and an estimated starting date in April. There was mention of set hours to launch and trailer boats dependent on the time of year.

Eric will attend another meeting on Tuesday for some finalization to this program.

FMO - Bill touched on some solutions to problems that were encountered at last years tournament, Eg. – Livewell checks, traffic flow. July 4th will be the deadline for collection of sponsorship monies and logos. Registration will be opened up to Centennial Bass Members on March 3rd and then open to general on the 4th. Entry fees will be $150 per team, $12.50 for online register company and optional $20 for big bass pot. The idea of having a second FMO type tournament at another location was brought forth and will be open for discussion at a later date.

Casting Kids – NTR

Jr Bass Club – 8 members signed up. Next meeting will be held at Sportsmans Warehouse Monday February 9th at 6:00 pm. Mike Hubbard volunteered to give a presentation for the kids.

Sportsmanship award will be presented at next months meeting

Website – Home page and FMO were mentioned as needing to be updated. Frank will continue work on it.

BOD – Steve Barbee gave quick overview. STQT format will continue in same format until at least 2012 when it is open for vote again. The club was asked to vote on the off limits deadline for this years STQT. The Club voted to allow the lake to be open to fish on Sunday prior. Frank Villa was chosen as CBC Team Capitan. The Federation has $34151.71 in general fund and $10,009.88 in the State Team fund. BASS Management changes, Mike will have information after he attends Classic.

Habitat – Bill Wilson has an information book that he has put together mapping the progress of the dock for Lonetree. All members are welcome to look at this if interested. The proper anchor setup is still being investigated. It was decided that placement for the dock should be the north ramp. The reduced price of the dock is about $13650.00.

The Trout award was presented to Craig McMillin.

New Business – Frank Villa brought to light that with the club dues being $55, with $20 going to BASS, $17 going to the Federation and $10 to the Classic, there is only $8 going to the club. He is proposing that the Club dues be raised to $60 with the increase of $2 to the Club and $3 to the Classic. The subject was tabled until next meeting.

Mike Hubbard gave a presentation on reel maintenance. He showed some basic steps of disassembling and cleaning a baitcast reel and where to use grease and oil on the different components.

Motion was made and second to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 9:02 pm
