 MEETING  Minutes  8-3-2004

 

I.    Call to order: BW Welcoming of Guests: None

II.   Secretary’s report:  Read and accepted

III.  Treasurer’s report:  2076.20 After FMO Accepted

IV.  Old Business

      A. Full Moon Open Tourney Report

        1. Distribution of flyers, Next year we have to get the word out better.

        2. T-shirts leftover: About 50, may be able to use next year, possibly add new sponsors to our shirt.

        3. Plaques (Dyekman’s) $74.69, He may join the club and will probably sponsor next year.

        4. FMO Winners:  Ben Lind/Frank Villa

        5.  Next year we would like to move Full Moon Open to Horsetooth.  Local advertisement and local sponsors might be easier to get.  Date still to be decided, May was mentioned but there was question on weather and if the bite is only on during the day.  August was mentioned, just like Logan, we could have a reputation of the first full moon in July or August so fisherman could plan in advance.  Everyone knows when the Ute tournament is.

       6.  Positions open for FMO Committee, Talk to Bill W. about helping out. 

      B. Windsor Lake Fish-n-Chips Report:  Tournament was fun, CBC helped participants catch fish, served drinks, drove cameramen and beer girls around and weighed in fish.  Look for coverage on Fox Sports RM, Sundays at 10 am, Hunting Magazine. We will be looking for volunteers next year. Thanks to CBC for the use of the scales.

      D. C.A.S.T. 2005: Date set, June 11, 6am – 1pm

      E. Heron Lake RV Report: Great time lots of fish.  Bill W. would like to thank: Ben L., Craig M, Bill Jr, Marshall, and Jenni

V.  New Business    

      A. Federation B.O.D. Meeting August 21st

         1. Three representatives (Jeff Colwell, Doug Johns, Bill W.) Frank Villa, and Jeremy Montoya would like to attend also.

         2. Junior State Team Qualifier Tournament @ Horsetooth Sat Aug 7th.

      B. Webster Lake Conservation:  Webster Lake Association has asked anyone interested in recreation on Webster to help save the water.  By filling out and signing their flyer we can show our support.  Motion to also send 10.00 to show more support, seconded and passed.

      C. Changing Weekend Tournament Lakes:  Participation was going to be so low for fishing the Wilson Weekend Tournament(3 boats) that it was decided to ask the membership what to do. 

Motion made to change the Wilson tournament to Carter Lake.  Seconded and passed, The Carter lake Weekend tournament will be August 14, 15.

Angostura Lake was also changed:  Motion made to change Angostura weekend Tournament to Box Butte, Seconded and Passed.  The Box Butte Weekend Tournament will be August 28, 29.
