CBC Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by Pres. Ben Lind following the club's first mini-tournament.

13 members present-no guests.

No Treasurer's report as the treasurer was not present.

Secretarys Report. The secretary read the minutes from the March meeting. One correction. Bill Wilson noted that the $35 donation made by the club went to the STQT, not Cast as originally reported. Correction so noted. A motion was made and seconded to accept the corrected secretarys report. Motion carried.

Tournament Directors Report: Tournament Director Tim Martinez requested all club members to make sure that their boat insurance is up to date and that the Tournament director has copies of the up to date policy numbers.

The upcoming club classic at Cedar Ridge Res. in Kansas was discussed. All is ready to go except for food that will not be prepared there by the Lodge owner. Many club members stepped forward volunteering to bring food for 2 evening meals at the Lodge. No one should go hungry. VP Villa then gave a report on the status of the upcoming event.

Old Business:

Full Moon Open. VP Villa stated that there was no meeting this month but that he had attended a seminar along with Bill Wilson. Bill Wilson emphasized that the sponsors for the FMO need to take care of their financial obligations. There was some discussion as to how to do this and how to get new sponsors on board. It was suggested that a deadline be set for the sponsors to get their monies to the club treasurer. The next club meeting was agreed upon.

BOD:

Pres. Lind gave a report on the BOD meeting he and two other individuals attended. The Federation now has a Conservation Director. There was some discussion as to the possibility of the club adding a conservation director to its list of elected officials. Bill Wilson made a motion to add to the clubs list of officers, a conservation director. Motion seconded by Pete Marshall. Motion carried. Bill Wilson then made a motion to appoint Eric Bergersen to this position. Eric had previously agreed to this post. Motion seconded by Jeff Colwell. Motion carried.

It was announced by Pres. Lind that the liability insurance for boaters would be raised to $300,000 for the 2006 season.

There will be 5 club members going to the STQT at Table Rock Mo.

Bill Wilson asked for and got several volunteers for the CAST event on 11 June of this year at Horsetooth.

Of the 5 lakes the club voted on for the STQT for next year, The Federation picked 3. Navajo, Allan Henry and Grand Lake. The club voted to go to Navajo.

BOD Appreciation Day is 9 July. Pres. Lind asked for and got several volunteers to help out.

The club then voted on a wording change on Article 6 eliminating the dates from overlapping on Divisional and National tournaments.

VP Villa reported that Chad LaChance needed 5 volunteers for a fishing seminar.

A motion was made by Bill Wilson to continue the $2 walleye fund at our tournaments. Motion seconded and passed. VP Villa made a motion to have the club treasurer cut an $80 check and combine it with the $20 collected tonight and donate the money to the Gerry Smith family. Motion seconded and passed.

There being no further business before the club, a motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
