Chairperson Bill Wilson opened the meeting with 7 members present.

Flyers advertising the FMO were passed out to be proof read by the members. Some advertisers still need to have their logos added to the flyers. Members present did take copies to be handed out to various locations.

Several businesses have yet to donate their monies to the FMO. Those businesses are:

Heron Lake RV

Cedar Bluffs Lodge

Dicks Sporting Goods

Stillwater Outfitters

Saturn

D&I Doors

Tech Services

Those individuals responsible for collecting the money from these businesses are urged to do so ASAP.

There was much discussion on the detail work required to put on the FMO and since CBC is hosting the event, CBC members would be called upon to volunteer in several capacities in order to have a successful FMO.

Meeting adjourned prior to the regular CBC business meeting.

Lind read a letter addressed to DOW expressing the club's concern over the DOW's lifting of the 15" size limit on LMB at Horsetooth. Following that, Bill Wilson reported that in his conversations with The DOW officials, the size limit regulation would probably be reinstated, but not until Sept.

VP Villa reported that members should check the Colo. Bass Federation website for up to date info. He also stated that at The Anglers Round Table, several lakes in the state now prohibit the use of salt impregnated baits. VP Villa also stated that Bass fisherman are not well represented at The Anglers Round Table and that members need to check the CBF website for details.

FMO: Bill Wilson gave a description of The FMO for the benefit of new members and guests. Members are encouraged to read the FMO Steering Committee Meeting Minutes.

Casting Kids: Youth Director Mike Hubbard reported on The Casting Kids event in Greeley on 1 April where only 3 individuals participated and the Casting Kids event at The Ranch on 2 April where there were 50 participants. The next scheduled Casting Kids event is 20-21 May at Dicks Sporting Goods. Ron Mayer reported that the event at Dicks may be changed to 24-25 June and it was suggested that the Casting Kids event be changed to those dates in June. Volunteers will be recruited at the June meeting. Sportsmans Warehouse would like the club to hold a similar event in the fall.

VP Villa reported onthe possibility of starting a Jr. Bassmasters fishing club. Much discussion followed.

2nd. Quarter BOD Highlights. Pres. Lind reported that CBF is auctioning off a new Triton boat to Federation members only. The total value of the boat package is approximately $35000. The reserve bid of $22000 has been met and the cutoff date for bids is 15 April 2006. Interested members can access the CBF website from the CBC website. The formation of 6 man teams for the State Team Qualifying Tournament (STQT) came up for discussion. Each club in the CBF is allowed 1-6 man team for each 12 members in the respective club. A committee is to be formed to determine the format for the CBF. The clubs Tournament Directors are to make up this committee. Pres. Lind opened the floor for discussion and suggestions on this topic. Much discussion followed. Many suggestions were made as to how to form the 6 man teams, how many teams to have, what types of tournaments to have and where to hold the tournaments. There was a suggestion made to inform those members interested in the STQT just what is involved in fishing a lengthy tournament, possibly out of state. Time off from one's job, distances traveled and most of all the expenses incured were all highlighted. A motion was finally made to hold a 4 day tournament on a weekend, 2 days pre-fish and 2 days tournament fishing, preferably in state. The motion was seconded and passed on a hand count vote 17-2. 5 lakes were suggested with Pueble Res. being selected. It was suggested that since CBC already has a weekend tournament scheduled for Pueblo Res. on 9-10 Sept. 2006, that tournament would suffice for the STQT format. Further discussion was terminated by Pres. Lind.

3rd. Qtr. BOD: The 3rd Qtr. BOD meeting will be held in Durango on 19-20 Aug. 2006. Pres. Lind, VP Villa, Mike Hubbard and Jeff Colwell will attend.

Prior to adjournment, the membership sang Happy Birthday to Bill Wilson and presented him with a card. He's still younger than your Secretary.
